Mr Kato has worked in the lure design industry for over 20 years and developed the entire FLT range of artificial baits. The enhancements are endless. All lures in the range have an integral tail made from elastomer, a plastic high in elasticity that ensures a remarkable resemblance to baitfish. These unique plugs have many resourceful options. The Zillva 140 & 160 for instance have a wonderful, graceful ‘S-Stroke’ slalom action and being a slow sinker its ideal for finding fish. The ChadCrank & Baroque, through the internal weight shift design and natural movement, become very versatile lures and captivating to predators, especially when brought to life by the fisherman during recovery.

All FLT baits have extremely high production standards. Lures such as the Baroque & Cobaro have realistic scales which were originally designed by hand and latterly by 3D software. FLT have named this distinctive and original concept “Real Scale”. The finished look and feel throughout the range is impeccable, extremely realistic and has a high resistance to wear and tear.

Another fundamental activity of FLT is the painstaking field test development performed in both sea and fresh water. Thanks to this research the testers have found the technical solutions and enhancements needed to stimulate the various senses of predators, enticing them to attack! An example of this research is the sound developed by the mix of glass beads and the internal weight transfer system of the Cobaro and Mirrord, which is very attractive to many species of predatory fish.
